Once a week we come together to pray for the needs of our Church, our Church family, our community and our nation.

Anyone is welcome to attend this weekly prayer meeting held via Zoom. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like the Zoom link so that you can join us.

If you would like us to pray for someone you know or a special concern, please contact us using this form Ask us to pray for you. Alternatively you can send an email with details to the Parish Office.

Your prayer request will be shared with a small group of people who are committed to praying regularly for those who have asked for prayer.

We have a small team of church members, who receive regular training and support for being involved in this ministry. At the 11.15 service, you are invited to come forward to 2 members of the team, who offer the laying on of hands together with prayer for you.

Are you looking for new ideas to help you develop a daily habit of prayer? There are many resources available online offering apps to download to your phone or tablet or podcasts to listen to.

The Church of England offers both apps and podcasts for daily prayer. Our Team Clergy use the Daily Prayer app for Morning Prayer in the Team Churches. Lectio365 is another useful resource.  This can be accessed at https://www.24-7prayer.com/resource/lectio-365/ and there is an app available for download.

When you pray

When you PRAY in faith...Pause - Rejoice - Ask - Yield

  • P - Pause
    • Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46: 10).
    • Take time to come into the Presence of the Lord and let your awareness of His
    • Presence give you peace and strength and hope.
  • R - Rejoice
    • This is the day that the Lord has made; let us Rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118: 24).
    • Let us Thank God for all His many Gifts but also Rejoice in the Giver rather than the Gifts.
  • A - Ask
    • Gently place all those people and situations that are on our hearts into the Hands of God.
    • With God anything is possible. Ask for Forgiveness for our own shortcomings.
  • Y - Yield
    • Take time to listen for the still, small voice.
    • Offer yourself to be the answer to your prayers.
    • Ask God to use you to further His Kingdom and His Will.
    • Recommit yourself.
