Take time out in the beautiful Chiltern countryside to appreciate God in nature on this guided walk, starting and ending at St Mary’s Church.
This 10 mile walk is mostly on paths (a few short stretches are on roads) and fairly flat, with the exception of the first climb up to Whiteleaf Hill. Those wishing to avoid the hill can join the walk later at Mill Lane or at lunchtime at the Lions of Bledlow – contact the office for more details.
The Chilterns Pilgrimage Walk takes in Whiteleaf Hill where we have a view over our community, before descending down past St Dunstan’s and on to St Peter’s Owlswick where we will take a welcome coffee and comfort break. It’s then a walk over to Bledlow via Longwick for lunch – bring your own picnic or have a meal at the Lions of Bledlow. We have time for reflection at the Lyde Gardens opposite Bledlow Manor before dropping down to visit St Michael & All Angels, Horsenden. The walk finishes at St Mary’s with tea and cake and a chance to share reflections from the day.
