We have 3 services on Sunday mornings, each with its own distinctive style.

You will receive a warm and friendly welcome at all of our services and trust you will find one where you feel comfortable with the style of worship. Refreshments are served in church between the 9.30am and 11.15am services.

Sunday Services

8am Holy Communion in St Mary's Church
  • A service of Holy Communion using Common Worship. This is a said service, with no music.
Sunday morning Holy Communion at 9.30am
  • A service of Holy Communion. You can attend in Church or watch online on our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbFAwUkttVbX2H3IvJEfu1Q.
  • The service includes organ music and hymns.
  • Refreshments are served after the service.
Sunday morning Live @ St Mary's at 11.15am
  • Our contemporary worship service is Live @ St Mary's. This is Christian worship in an informal atmosphere with a modern emphasis. Our energising service is fast paced and uses audio-visual technology for the talks and readings, with a live band leading current worship songs.
  • It is held every Sunday at St Mary’s Church at 11.15am and lasts for an hour.  There is something for everyone here, whatever your age and background. Whether you have faith or no faith, come and meet with God through spirit led music and talks based on the bible and worship in the fellowship of others.
  • We have a number of children’s breakout groups for different ages, in safe surroundings run by vetted and approved Sunday school teachers. There is also ‘Tot Spot’ in the Chapter House for 0-3 year olds with their parents where they can follow the service on the video link.
  • Come early and enjoy coffee and a doughnut before the service served by our friendly refreshment team.
Unplugged - contemporary worship and reflection at 6.30pm
  • The purpose of the time is to create space for people to “unplug from the world” and dwell in God’s presence.
  • An extended time of worship through song and prayer led by members of the Worship Band.
  • We have a short talk  - a 5-min thought to springboard into a time of response.
  • There is no defined agenda or structure to the service, with the response time being led by us together as the spirit moves.

Midweek Services

A service of Holy Communion at St Mary's Church on Wednesday mornings at 10.30am.
  • This is a quieter and more reflective service without music.
  • Refreshments are served after the service in the Chapter House.

Evensong with shortened Holy Communion at St Peter's Church, Ilmer

This service is held monthly, on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 3pm during the winter months, and at 6pm during the summer (during BST).
