Lighthouse finished on a high on Friday 4th August with a Celebration Service in the Big Top at Princes Risborouugh School. Many family members attended to watch their children singing, enjoying silly games, voting for the person to be ‘gunged’ and reciting the memory verse for the week:
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
A huge debt of gratitude is to owed to all of the volunteers, including many from St Mary’s. From setting-up and taking down the site, providing security during the week, car parking duty, manning the prayer tent, supervising the crafts & sport, worship leaders & musicians / singers, Tech Team, being an Age Group Leader, Lighthouse Keeper, Lamplighter, Admin & registration, Treasurer, Special Needs Superviser, First Aid, Cafe helper, providing dinner for the Mainstage Crew, giving the Thought for the Day at the volunteer briefing every morning, running the Fiesta evening events for the young volunteers and to the Mainstage Crew itself, it takes an awful lot of energy, talent and faith to bring Lighthouse to life. We thank you all and pray that our young people will discover the ‘light of life’ for themselves.
