The Opening of the Chapter Houseby the Bishop of Oxford4th May 2008 |

Sunday 4th May 2008 was a landmark day for St Mary's as we were delighted that the Rt Revd John Pritchard, Bishop of Oxford, was able to visit St Mary's to open the new Chapter House.
After preaching and presiding at the 10am Parish Communion, the bishop enlisted some help from Emma Torrance for the cutting of the ribbon - the official opening of the new building. The opening of the Chapter House was then followed by prayers of blessing and dedication.
Then there was an opportunity for everyone to view the new rooms, celebrate with a glass of champagne and chat to the Bishop and his wife over an informal lunch in the church hall. |
