Pastoral Care
Caring for our community is part of our vision. We have commissioned a team of trained Pastoral Visitors who visit and support the bereaved, the sick, lonely and housebound .
Please contact the Pastoral Visitors via the Parish Office .
The Open Door
This is a monthly tea party held on the first Sunday of the month, from 3.00 to 4.30pm, in the Chapter House behind the Church. The event seeks to extend friendship and company to all who value this kind of support.
The tea is very informal, and anyone is free to drop in. Transport can be arranged if required. Please contact Jean Smith.
Coffee at the Chapter House
The Chapter House is open on Thursday mornings from 10.30am to 12 noon for anyone wishing to drop in for coffee and a chat. All are welcome
PopIn
The Pop-In Centre, run by volunteers from St Mary's, is held on Friday mornings from 10 am until 12 noon at the Red Cross Centre in Clifford Road. Anyone is welcome to drop in for companionship, coffee and a chat. If necessary, transport can be arranged.
Support through prayer
We remember the needs of people in our community through the intercessions in our services and prayer requests in our weekly newsletter. Please contact the Parish Office if you, or someone you know, would like to be supported in this way. |

Time to Remember
The annual 'Time to Remember' service is a special service for anyone who has been bereaved. It provides an opportunity to remember and give thanks for the lives of those we have loved and to ask for God's continuing support in our grieving. Refreshments are served after the service. The 2011 service was on Sunday 27th November.
