Caring for our community is part of our vision. We have commissioned a team of trained Pastoral Visitors who visit and support the bereaved, the sick, lonely and housebound . Please contact the Pastoral Visitors via the Parish Office.
The Open Door
This is a monthly tea party held on the first Sunday of the month, from 3.00 to 4.30pm, in the Chapter House behind the Church. The event seeks to extend friendship and company to all who value this kind of support.
The tea is very informal, and anyone is free to drop in. Transport can be arranged if required. Please contact Hilary Derbyshire.
Coffee at the Chapter House
The Chapter House is open on Thursday mornings from 10.30am to 12 noon for anyone wishing to drop in for coffee and a chat. All are welcome.
Bereavement Support
A monthly drop in group meets in the Chapter House between 3 and 4 pm on the second Monday of each month. The group offers a warm welcome to anyone struggling with the grief of bereavement. They share together over tea or coffee, share experiences or simply listen. Many find comfort in talking to others who know what they are going through. Anyone is welcome, of any faith or none. Contact Rose Williams via the Parish Office.
Support through prayer
We remember the needs of people in our community through the intercessions in our services, our Wednesday Prayer Group and prayer requests in our weekly newsletter. Please contact the Parish Office if you, or someone you know, would like to be supported in this way.
Time to Remember
Our Annual Time to Remember Service is held each year in the Autumn please see our Calendar for information. All are welcome to attend, in particular those who have suffered bereavement in the past year and wish to have a moment to remember their loved ones. Refreshments are served afterwards.
