Bisham Concert Band - Over the Rainbow - concert at St Mary's on March 24th

Bisham Concert Band

The Bisham Concert Band played to a packed church on 24th March at St Mary's. The programme contained music from the shows, well known film music, well-known favourites and not so well-known items.

All in all it was a most enjoyable evening and we look forward to welcoming the Bisham Concert Band back to St Mary's later this year.

Rectory Garden Party 6 August 2011

Bisham Band

With the rain still falling at 2 o’clock, hopes of a sunny afternoon for the Rectory Garden Party looked slim but thankfully the clouds rolled away and a pleasant time was had by all, with the Bisham Band playing the background music. Cream cakes, tea and squash together with ice cream were plentiful. Well done the helpers!

David Wallace’s home-made Barrel Organ (complete with monkey) attracted a lot of attention; anyone was welcome to have a twirl, the secret being to get the right speed to suit the tune.

With everyone socializing, the afternoon proved a great success, and we must not forget to thank David and Jo for the use of their garden.

Ramble Round Risborough - 22nd May

The Ramble Round Risborough was a hugely successful event. The walk brought people together from all parts of the church family and has raised in excess of £7000 for the asbestos. The photos below show the walk and the superb cream tea laid on by the events team afterwards.
