Would you like an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in an informal, fun and friendly environment? Are you ready to take the next steps, going deeper in your faith alongside others who are learning like you?
Here at St Mary’s we provide 3 short courses each year, starting with the Alpha course in January, and continuing with shorter courses in the summer and autumn. All these courses are free of charge, and usually begin with food, a good opportunity to get to know others during the course and make new friends.
The new course for both the summer and autumn discipleship courses. The course is called Jesus the Game Changer and has received excellent reviews so far. The course is a 10 episode documentary series looking at how the life and teaching of Jesus changed the world and why it matters. Without Jesus much of what we know of Western civilisation would not exist as we know it. Jesus changed the world and He also changes individual lives.
The summer course starts on 7th June until 5th July starting at 7.30pm and finishing at 9.30pm. The evening will start with a meal, followed by watching a video and having a discussion on the topic of the evening. To come on the course please email firstname.lastname@example.org and book your place

“I was eager to learn more about Christianity and its relevance to me. The Discipleship Course was ideal, a blend of scripture, teaching and group discussion.”
“You don’t need a friend for moral support as there will be many more people there in your shoes. The food was as promised, in fact the last course coincided with the Great British Bake Off and there really are people who can bake those technical challenges at home. I know I’ve eaten them!”
