Do you want to feel part of the community of St Mary’s, to be able to join in our activities, to meet other members and to feel supported on your Christian journey?
Most people start to connect by coming to one of our services (details accessible from the Services box on the home page); we hope you will quickly get to know people and what is going on. Look out for social events, ranging from a summer garden party to our Harvest Supper, and there are seasonal crafts & activities for children. We host lots of cultural events in St Mary’s: why not come to a concert?
As you feel you may want to be more involved, a natural progression is to join a Life Group, a great way to get to know people at St Mary’s. We currently have 14 Life Groups. They are groups of 3 or more people who get together to support each other, grow in faith and focus on a particular interest or an activity. Life Groups help people to feel a sense of belonging and being cared for. Double click on the top Life Group Menu to find a group which you would like to join.
On the Discover box you’ll find details of the courses we run. Most begin with a meal (just as the early church met over a meal) and they are a great way of both deepening your knowledge and faith, and broadening your friendships.
Prayer is central to all that we do and we’d love you to share in our prayer life. Whether it’s celebrating the birth of a child, giving thanks for a new opportunity, or getting through the tough times in life, we all need prayer; both to pray ourselves and to be supported by the prayers of others. The St Mary’s prayer hub coordinates this prayer support. You can find more details in the Prayer Section at the foot of the Home Page.
If you just need to speak to someone and you’re not sure where to ask, please email or phone the Parish Office (01844 273300)and we’ll be happy to help.
