During the Covid-19 emergency several local organisations are offering help.
The Risborough Basket initiative being run by the Town council is up and running with over 200 orders for food packages supplied with goods from local businesses being phoned in. There is a need for more volunteer drivers, packers, call takers, so if you can help in this way, please email John Coombs at: john@princesrisboroughtowncouncil.gov.uk. Also if you know friends or neighbours who could benefit from this service, they should contact the details given below.
The town has been leafleted and further information and contact details are: www.risboroughbasket.co.uk or ring 07902 910556 or email basket@princesrisboroughtowncouncil.gov.uk
Princes Risborough Elderly and Vulnerable Support are offering a shopping and errands service. Contact: Marnie or Siobhan on 07958 400 768.
Food Poverty
If you are struggling to make ends meet and unable to buy food to keep your family going through this crisis, please contact the Parish Office: parishoffice@stmarysrisborough.org.uk and we will put you in contact with our Food Cupboard project which may be able to help.
CAP – Christians Against Poverty – Debt Relief Charity
This is just a reminder that despite being in the middle of our 2nd Lockdown, the Debt Relief charity Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is still in business. We may no longer be allowed to meet clients face-to-face in their own homes, but we are delivering an effective, first class debt advice service to struggling families. If you are struggling with debt, please call 0800 328 0006 or 01274 761911.
