A Lent Bible Study at St Mary’s Church
The cross is the central symbol of the Christian faith. From the very beginning the early Christians felt they had no option but to talk about the cross. They knew that because of the death of Jesus their universe had changed, their world was transformed. But what of today? What is the meaning of the cross for us,for our community and for the world we inhabit today? That’s the topic for a three session Lent course at St Mary’s. Looking at the cross as sign, as sacrifice and as victory, the sessions will focus on three key moments in the story of Jesus’ final days in Jerusalem.
